Description to Sainte-Croix-de-Mont AOC
The small appellation is located in the very south of the large French Entre-deux-Mers area as an enclave within the Premières Côtes de Bordeaux appellation. The vineyards cover 460 hectares of vineyards on limestone soils on the right side of the Garonne. The appellation covers sweet white wines made from noble sweet grapes of the Sémillon, Sauvignon Blanc and Muscadelle varieties. The red wines are produced as simple appellation Bordeaux. Well-known wineries are for example Château Bel Air, Château du Mont, Château La Grave, Château La Rame and Château Lousteau-Vieil.
