Description to Chiroubles AOC
One of the ten cru sites in the French region of Beaujolais, named after the municipality of the same name. The vineyards cover 375 hectares of vineyards in south-eastern locations at up to 480 metres above sea level, making them the highest in the area. The soils consist of weathered granite and porphyry. The red wines are made from the Gamay variety. The acidic wines have less tannins than those from other Beaujolais areas and should be enjoyed young.
