Description to P.D.O. Dafnes (O.P.A.P.) / Δαφνές
Appellation (also Daphnes) in the district of Iraklio on the Greek island of Crete near the capital Heraklion. Dafnes is one of the island's four POP POPareasPOP; the POP areas of Archanes and Peza border it to the east. The vineyards stretch across the southern foot of the Psiloritis massif. The red wine is made from the autochthonous Liatiko variety and is vinified dry or sweet.
