Description to San Colombano al Lambro DOC
DOC area (also San Colombano) for red wines and white wines in the Italian region of Lombardy. The zone comprises the hilly area in sub-areas of the municipalities of Graffignana in the province of Lodi, San Colombano al Lambro and Sant'Angelo Lodigiano in the province of Milan, and Mirandolo Terme, Inverno and Monteleone in the province of Pavia. If the grapes come from classified vineyards, Vigna can be indicated followed by the name of the vineyard.
Rosso (also known as Riserva) is blended from the Croatina (30-50%), Barbera (25-50%), Uva Rara (max. 15%) and other approved varieties (max. 15%). The Bianco is made from the varieties Chardonnay (50%), Pinot Nero = Pinot Noir (10%), as well as other approved varieties (max. 15%). There is also a Frizzante of both wines.
