Description to Colli di Rimini DOC
DOC area for red wines and white wines in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna. The zone completely covers the municipalities of Coriano, Gemmano, Mondaino, Monte Colombo, Montefiore Conca, Montegrifolfo, Montescudo, Morciano di Romagna, Poggio Berni, Saludecio, San Clemente, Torriana and Verucchio, as well as parts of the municipalities of Cattolica, Misano Adriatico, Riccione, Rimini, San Giovanni in Marignano and Santarcangelo di Romagna in the province of Rimini.
The single-varietal wines must contain at least 85% of the respective variety. These are the white wines Biancame and Rébola (Pignoletto), and the red wines Cabernet Sauvignon and Sangiovese. The Bianco is blended from Trebbiano Romagnolo (50-70%), Biancame and/or Mostosa (30-50%), as well as other varieties (max. 20%). Rosso is produced from Sangiovese (60-75%), Cabernet Sauvignon (15-25%), as well as any blend of Ancellotta, Barbera, Ciliegiolo, Merlot and Montepulciano (max. 25%). All white wines are also available as Passito, all red wines as Riserva and the Sangiovese as Superiore.
