Chorey-les-Beaune AOC |
Description to Chorey-les-Beaune AOC
The appellation named after the commune of the same name, with 134 hectares of vineyards, is located in the Burgundy region of Côte de Beaune (Côte d'Or), five kilometres north of the Beaune appellation. The famous appellation Aloxe-Corton borders on the north. There are no Grands or Premiers Crus. 99% of the red wines are made from Pinot Noir with shares of Pinot Gris and Pinot Liébault. However, the majority of the wines are marketed under the lower-quality appellation Côte de Beaune-Villages. An alternative appellation exclusively for red wines is called Chorey-lès-Beaune Côte de Beaune.
