The winery is located in the municipality of
Gols in the Burgenland wine-growing region of
Neusiedlersee (Austria). It is managed by Christian and Thomas Weiss. The vineyards comprise 11 hectares of vineyards in the areas Edelgrund, Reitäcker,
Ungerberg and Zwickeläcker. They are planted with the white wine varieties Grüner Veltliner, Welschriesling, Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay, Rivaner and Sämling 88 (Scheurebe), as well as the red wine varieties Zweigelt,
Blaufränkisch, Blauburger, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon. Wine-growing is practised in a near-natural, environmentally friendly manner. Depending on the type of wine, the wines are aged in steel tanks, large wooden barrels or in barriques. Premium wines include the red wine cuvées "Blend vom Golser Hotter" (Zweigelt,
Blaufränkisch, Merlot - 18 months in barrique) and "Trinity" (Zweigelt,
Blaufränkisch, Blauburger), as well as "Zweigelt Edelgrund", "Whity" (Rivaner) and the white "Burgundercuvée" (Pinot Blanc, Chardonnay). In years with suitable weather conditions, Trockenbeerenauslese wines are also pressed. For allergy sufferers, histamine-free white and red wines are offered under the "HISTAfree" line
(histamine below 0.1 mg/l). Certified organic wines will be marketed from the 2010 vintage onwards.
