2009 Kamptal DAC Riesling Reserve trocken Vinum Optimum, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Cool nose with prominent vegetal notes, citrus fruit, apples and some peaches, light earthy and mineral notes. Clear, fairly mature, dry fruit on the palate, elegant acidity, vegetal and earthy notes, light mineral notes and a light tannic touch, slightly astringent, slightly rustic style, good finish. Showing fairly rapid development.

Editor note: Prominent mineral and light vegetal notes on the nose, light earthy notes, pomaceous and stone fruit, hint of citrus. Tart fruit on the palate, more earthy and vegetal notes, fiarly prominent acidity, slightly sanfy tannins, slightly rustic style, fairly persistent, good grip, tart again on a good finish.

Editor note: Nose still slightly closed, light waxy notes, overripe stone and pomaceous fruit, herbaceous, light mineral and vegetal notes. Still fairly restrained on the palate, surprisingly prominent vegetal notes, slightly lemony fruit, ripe peaches, herbaceous and waxy notes, some caramel, more mineral notes, integrated acidity, has substance and some depth, very good finish.
