Firm and deep, smoky and fleshy aroma of ripe black berries and sour cherries with herbal spice reminiscent of marjoram, pepper, a little juniper, laurel and tobacco. Taut, cool, very juicy, tart fruit, animating bite and present, yet incredibly fine tannins, again clearly herbal on the palate, somewhat smoky, fleshy and tart-nutty, deep, concentrated and persistent, but still completely undeveloped, mineral foundation, a hint of dark chocolate and coffee, restrained power, until a long, very juicy, dense finish with freshness and bite. Needs time.
