Fairly firm, dense and deep, cool, complex, still smoky and reductive, delicate vegetal to herbaceous and delicate peppery nose with fresh, rather light yellow fruity aromas, some spinach and mineral tones. Ripe, concentrated and juicy, slightly sweetish-melting, yet fresh fruit with lively, polished acidity that permeates the wine and a grip of crumbly, ripe tannin, still delicately yeasty on the palate, a hint of fresh butter, delicate herbal pungency on the palate, very precise contours, persistent, clearly mineral, hints of yellow spice in the background, tones reminiscent of light tobacco, good depth, has power, floral nuances, very good to long, very firm, tart-juicy finish with noble juice, spice and minerality. Great.
Since the 2008 vintage, wine-legally defined DAC area (specific wine-growing region) in the Austrian wine-growing region of Lower Austria (generic wine-growing region). See under Kamptal.
