2020 Pinot Noir trocken Grande Reserve, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Tart, somewhat tobacco, nutty and peppery nose of predominantly dark berries and a little cherry with a hint of leather and juniper. Clear, juicy, fairly blue fruit with some spicy and nutty wood notes, a hint of soot and dried mushrooms, lively acidity, fine sandy tannins, good persistence, salty minerality, nutshell bitterness and cocoa in the background, very good finish. Difficult to recognise blind as Pinot Noir, but with substance and structure.
