2006 Zweigelt trocken Reserve "In Ölbergen", Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Fairly mature, warm nose, preserved and marinated, partly overripe berries, light spicy, malted and roasted notes. Mature again on the palate, polished, dried and marinated mixed berry fruit, chocolate and malted notes, moderate spicy oak, fairly prominent and rather astringent tannins, full-bodied, slightly warm alcohol, shows the warm autumn of the vintage, slightly sweetish, but also slightly tart in the background, slightly astringent on a good finish.
