Somewhat nutty, bacony and vegetal to dried herbaceous notes on the nose, partly preserved mixed berries and a few cherries, hint of leather and blood. Warm, again slightly jammy fruit with nutty and a little sooty wood flavours, present, somewhat drying tannin, hints of ash and tar, has power, hints of hazelnut and dried meat, noticeable alcohol warmth, good to very good, again slightly sooty finish.

Best to drink: 2025-2027+. What our ratings mean
