2021 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Grassnitzsberg Riff Sauvignon Blanc Erste STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and deep, smoky and slightly nutty, yet emphatically cool nose of white and green berries with citrus flavours, herbal-vegetable tones, romanesco, hints of blackcurrants and a little dark mineral background. Taut, juicy, cool and dense fruit, very fine, lively acidity, some phenolic grip, persistent on the palate, good depth, clear, partly chalky, but also partly dark minerality, nutty flavours in the background, delicately sweetish melting, floral nuances and cassis, very good to long finish with warm and cool elements.
