2018 Leithaberg DAC Ried Steinberg Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Very slightly tobacco aroma of ripe black and some red berries with a little liquorice, roasted aromas and dried floral nuances. Tart, somewhat muted dark fruit, woody, nutty and slightly vegetal aromas, mellow, albeit slightly drying tannin, smoky nuances, a little earthy, cocoa notes, hints of coffee and salt, some warmth, good persistence, very good, albeit again a little drying finish.
