2018 Leithaberg DAC Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Very light floral scent of ripe, partly preserved dark berries with a hint of cherries and liquorice as well as nutty and tobacco wood notes. Ripe, quite juicy, partly preserved fruit, some acidity, cocoa-spicy and nutty wood, some coffee, fine sandy, a touch drying tannin, some warmth, smoky notes, very good, noticeably toasty-woody finish, again with partly preserved fruit and acidity.
