2013 Thermenregion Ried Eichkogel Merlot trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Noticeably developed, cedary-woody and tobacco aroma of predominantly black berries and hints of plums with distinctly earthy aromas and dried root vegetables. Firmly woven, tart fruit, toasty wood, smoky notes, some tobacco, soot and again earthy tones, fine sandy, somewhat drying tannin, lots of alcohol, slightly rustic character, not too deep, meaty traces and again also dried vegetables, tart, again somewhat drying and alcoholic finish.
