Cool, relatively firm, slightly herbal-plant-like core fruit-citrus nose with nutty and smoky traces. Clear, polished, finely juicy fruit, polished acidity, cool plant to herbal aromas, a hint of nuttiness on the palate, certain sustainability, restrained, subtly sweet melt, but also freshness, salty tones, a hint of citrus zest, good to very good, finely juicy and a hint of floral finish with bite. Much wine for the money.
Since the 2008 vintage, wine-legally defined DAC area (specific wine-growing region) in the Austrian wine-growing region of Lower Austria (generic wine-growing region). See under Kamptal.
