Clear, fairly tart and slightly cool nose, dark berries and cherries, light oak, some juniper and rowanberries, hint of pepper. Straightforward, fairly polished fruit on the palate, sweetish and juicy, fairly fine tannins, some dark roasted notes, delicate hint of fried plants, peppery notes, earthy and mineral notes, good persistence, noticeable but quite well integrated alcohol, not particularly deep, but well made, touch of bacon and some dark chocolate on a good finish. Has developed very positively, and should make for enjoyable drinking over the next few years.
