2021 Vulkanland Steiermark DAC Ried Moarfeitl Sauvignon Blanc Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and tart, clearly vegetal aroma with delicate nutty and hints of smoky notes, restrained yellow and green fruity aromas, hints of green pepper and black berry nuances. Firm, juicy, dense fruit, very fine acidity and some grip, persistent on the palate, fine vegetal and also herbal aromas, a little green pepper, blackberry and floral nuances, good depth, still quite compact and undeveloped, smoky and clearly mineral in the background, tobacco and yeasty nuances, hints of wasabi, becomes juicier with air, very good, firm, complex finish. Needs to mature.
