2015 Mittelburgenland DAC Ried Bodigraben Blaufränkisch Reserve trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Firm nose, hint of tobacco, black berries and cherries, moderate cedary notes, light mineral notes in the background. Tart, fairly concentrated dark fruit on the palate, slightly sooty oak, some dark chocolate, firm, fine, sandy tannins, still slightly astringent, full body, noticeable high alcohol, light salty notes in the background, etheral notes, touch of juniper, more peppery traces and a hint of tobacco on a good to very good, slightly astringent finish.
