2017 Blaufränkisch trocken "Leithakalk", Burgenland, Austria

Clear, quite firm, tart scent of black and red berries with cherry notes as well as earthy and musky nuances. Relatively tart, quite juicy fruit, moderate wood spice, somewhat earthy and dried vegetal on the palate, fine sandy, ripe tannin and some bite, good persistence, some chalky tones in the background, a hint of tobacco, toasty nuances, good to very good finish
