2015 Chardonnay trocken Leithakalk, Burgenland, Austria

Cool nose, white strawberries and greengages, light buttery notes, floral traces, light nutty notes and a hint of herbal salts. Supple on the palate, almost silky texture, initially inviting and approachable, but then shuts down slightly, becomes more brittle because of the light oak, hint of vanilla and delicate toasted notes, elegant bite and grip, quite charming, but still needs some time to mature, good to very good finish.

Editor note: Cool polished nose, elegant vegetal notes with a touch of asparagus, citrus and some green apples, light herbaceous notes and floral traces, light mineral notes. Fairly firm, tart, juicy fruit on the palate, fresh vegetal aromas, elegant, fairly lively acidity, some persistence and substance, light floral traces, delicate touch of old oak, hint of smoked bacon, medium body, but remains cool, good to very good finish.
