2013 trocken Vintage Top Select, Burgenland, Austria

Firm, fairly cool nose, black berries and cherries, somedried herbs ans light leathery notes, hint of black olives. Firm, tart, juica fruit on the palate, hint of smoked bacon, some dried herbs, light nutty notes, fine youthful tannins, peppery traces, salty mineral notes in the background, has grip and bite, some depth, hint of tobacco and more peppery traces on a very good tart, juicy finish.

Editor note: Light nutty, spicy oak on the nose, ripe, partly preserved black berries and cherries, floral traces, some licorice, pomegrante, dried herbs, tobacco and peppery spice. Ripe, concentrated, very juicy fruit on the palate, herbs and spices, prominent salty mineral notes, lively acidity, youthful, fine sandy tannins, persistent and surprisingly cool, complex and very lively, good depth, peppery notes in the background, firm structure^, still largely undeveloped, moderate, slightly smoky oak, some dried herbs, more salty mineral notes and noticeable pepper on a very good, long, firm, tart, juicy finish. Needs time to mature.
