2012 Merlot trocken Joachimsthal, Burgenland, Austria

Fairly mature nose with light animal notes, ripe red and black berries, earthy notes, hint of tobacco, some undergrowth. More fairly mature fruit on the palate with balsamic notes and some wilted flowers, slightly muted by tannins, medium body, some persistence, not particularly deep, delicate acid bite, earthy notes, slightly bitter hint of tobacco, slightly astringent on a decent to good finish.
