2006 trocken V.T.S., Burgenland, Austria

Translate to English Fester, etwas speckiger Duft nach schwarzen Beeren und ein wenig Sauerkirschen mit verhaltener Holzwürze und etwas getrockneten Kräutern mit mineralischen Anklängen. Reife, dabei recht herbe, schwarze Frucht im Mund, erdige, getrocknet-vegetabile und holzige Noten, präsentes, etwas sandiges und trocknendes Tannin, nachhaltig am Gaumen, alkoholstark, im Hintergrund erdig, leicht speckig und eine Spur rußig, guter bis sehr guter, herber und ziemlich alkoholstarker Abgang.

Editor note: Rather diffuse nose, prominent alcohol, candied nuts and old oak, preserved red and black berries, vegetal notes. Firm on the palate, quite juicy, tart fruit and prominent nutty oak, sugar candy and some licorice, earthy and mineral notes in the background, has some bite, very creamy, chocolate, very slightly astringent tannins, has some depth and persistence, nutty oak and chocolate on an alcoholic finish.

Editor note: Nose still undeveloped, red berries and light cherries, col mineral notes, light smoky notes, spicy oak, herbaceous notes and prominent bell peppers. Firm and juicy on the palate, cool fruit, noticeable, but fairly well integrated oak, very fine tannins evenly distributed, persistent, light herbs and spices, some mineral notes, some more bell peppers, good depth, still youthful, good to very good finish.
