2006 Merlot trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Complex nose with intense mienral notes, preserved morello cherries, berries and some plums, vegetal and light earthy notes. Firm and compact on the palate, straightforward style, persistent, concentrated and fairly cool fruit, sour cherries and forest berries, also some leather and truffles, complex again with prominent mineral notes, still rather closed, delicately juicy with a noticeable acid bite, integrated, only slightly astringent tannins, quite full-bodied and has some substance, needs a lot of time to develop, already has a long finish.
