2006 Blaufränkisch trocken Vom Leithagebirge, Burgenland, Austria

Ripe, partly preserved cherries and ripe red berries on the nose, delicately tart blueberries, candied nuts and spicy roasted notes, cool mineral traces in the background. Very firm on the palate, fairly prominent, nutty spicy oak, sweetish roasted notes and some dark chocolate, but also has juicy ripe fruit and an elegant acid bite, loads of ripe tannins, also some oak tannins, only very slightly astringent, concentrated, persistent and quite deep, prominent, slightly salty mineral notes, still very young and undeveloped, long finish.
