2004 Leithaberg trocken V.T.S., Burgenland, Austria

Red and black berries on the nose, some vegetal notes and leeks, spicy oak. Cool and tart on the palate, prominent spicy oak, roasted and smoky notes, medium-fine, slightly astringent tannins, herbaceous and vegetal notes, mineral notes in the background, good structure and persistence, has some depth, currently not in peak condition, light oak on a good finish.

Best to drink: Bis 2011+. What our ratings mean

Editor note: Firm nose wit hred and black berries, cherries, herbs and spices, mineral notes and some smoky oak. Quite juicy on the palate, clear fruit with herbaceous notes, some smoky roasted oak, slightly sandy, astringent tannins, good persistence, full-bodied, light acid bite, still young, medium depth and length.
