2002 Leithaberg trocken V.T.S., Burgenland, Austria

Ripe black berries, some red berries and sweet cherries on the nose, smoky and sweetish roasted notes, sweetish spicy notes and some pepper. Also quite smoky on the palate with some roasted notes, but also has firm, concentrated, juicy fruit, quite fine and fairly prominent tannins, delicate acid bite, persistent, mineral traces in the background, unfortunately the oak develops with aeration, good finish.
