2020 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Bärenburg Weißburgunder trocken STK, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and quite deep, nutty and a hint of buttery aroma of citrus fruit and more pomaceous than stone fruit with quite fine vegetal flavours and delicate barrel tones. Ripe, juicy, fairly dense fruit, very fine acidity marbling through the wine, nutty, herbal and very slightly smoky notes, still a hint of yeast, concentrated and persistent on the palate, yet without any heaviness, clear minerality, again certain barrel tones, tart, tending to cool style, good depth, very good, firm, tart finish with grip and complex, partly ethereal spice.
