2019 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Sulz Sauvignon Blanc Erste STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Quite firm, slightly fennel-like scent of ripe yellow fruits with floral aromas, a little currant, nutty tones, mushrooms, parsley and a hint of elderberry. Tart, again tightly knit, slightly smoky fruit, some Galia melon, clearly dried-herbal to -herbaceous notes, again reminiscent of parsley, some sauteed mushrooms on the palate, nutty wood notes, very fine acidity and grip of crumbly tannin, lots of power, dark berries in the background, clearly salt, still rather undeveloped, good depth, very good, firm finish with some alcohol warmth.
