2017 Süd-Steiermark Sauvignon Blanc Trockenbeerenauslese süß, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Firm and quite deep, somewhat dried-vegetable, nutty and floral citrus scent with vegetable aromas, partly dried white and yellow fruits and a hint of moss and mushrooms. Very sweet, concentrated, predominantly bright fruit, smoky, nutty and distinctly vegetal flavours, some nuttiness, candy in the background, lively acidity, some grip of crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, good depth, hints of bacon and mushrooms in the background, salty mineral tones, a little ethereal herbs, resin and dried gooseberries, also black berry tones reminiscent of elderberry in the background, still young, long, sweet, smoky finish again with ethereal notes, grip and pull.
