2008 Süd-Steiermark Ried Nussberg Gewürztraminer lieblich Große STK Lage, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Very typical tart spicy nose, prominent mineral notes, lychee and honeydew melon, candied nuts, dried flowers and some rosewood, delicate hint of caramel and traces of stone fruit. Concentrated, full-bodied and creamy on the palate, very ripe sweet fruit, herbaceous traces, sweet and tart spicy traces, very persistent, elegant, moderate acidity, excellent depth, mineral notes in the background, slightly bitter, typical of the variety, touch of dried orange zest, very good long finish.

Editor note: Tranquil nose, rosewood, some lychee, orange zest, medicinal herbs and some mineral notes. Polished, still slightly closed, complex fruit on the palate, moderately sweet, herbs and spices, preserved pomaceous fruit and Mediterranean fruit, delicately bitter medicinal herbs, hint of pimento and muscat, hint of orange again, mineral notes in the background, very moderate spicy oak, just a touch, integrated acidity, complex and polished, has substance, still needs time to mature, already has a good long finish.
