2003 Süd-Steiermark Ratsch Gewürztraminer halbtrocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Complex nose, candied ginger and some melon, lychee and rosewood, delicate herbaceous and earthy notes. Harmonious on the palate, shows some development, gentle, almost creamy preserved melon and apple fruit, dried medicinal herbs, some tea leaves, moderate spicy oak, tart bitter notes, moderate, integrated acidity, almost imperceptibly sweet, very elegant and concentrated, full-bodied, good substance and depth, shows its origins, good long finish.
