2018 Ried Gertberg Pinot Noir trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Somewhat barrel-wood-spicy and tobacco aroma of friable red and black berries with slightly earthy, floral and dried mushroom nuances. Relatively warm fruit with smoky and restrained toasty tones, some acid bite and herbal to slightly herbal notes, fine sandy tannin, some power and persistence, a little salt in the background, very good, rather tart, firm finish with relatively dark juice, a little juniper, sage and smoke.
