2021 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Pössnitzberger Kapelle I Chardonnay Grosse STK Ried trocken, Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Youthful, fresh, firm and concentrated, deep citrus and pomaceous fruit on the nose, delicate vegetal and herbaceous aromas, light nutty and smoky barrel notes, some artichoke, yeasty traces and light floral nuances. Ripe, enormously concentrated, juicy, pure, extremely noble fruit, very fine, lively acidity marbling through the wine and some grip, again smoky and nutty wood flavours in the background, some vegetal tones, some olive oil, persistent, deep and powerful on the palate, has a certain alcohol warmth on the one hand, but also cooling elements, mainly due to the light, chalky-stony minerality, a little citrus peel and Williams Christ pear in the background, still not very developed, a hint of nut butter, downright viscous texture, yet with precise contours, long, polished finish with fine, light, creamy juice, fresh-vegetable tones, minerality and a hint of smoke.
