2006 Kamptal Cabernet Franc trocken Vincent, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Prominent spicy oak on the nose, smoky notes and bacon, jammy black berries, prominent earthy notes, some boild beef and lovage, cabbagey vegetal notes. Full-bodied and quite juicy on the palate, polished, smooth, alightly overripe fruit, smoky, sooty oak, fairly fine tannins, but slightly dusty and astringent, creamy, smoked meat, some more cabbage, very good persistence and has some depth, fairly prominent dark chocolate, prominent oak with noticeable tart roasted notes on a very good finish. Very ripe and has loads of substance, but also rather a lot of oak, not many fine details.
