2019 Kirchboden Zweigelt Grande Réserve trocken, Lower Austria/Niederösterreich, Austria

Firm aroma of partly preserved mixed berries and cherries with smoky-roasted notes, a little black olives and Mediterranean herbal aromas reminiscent of oregano. Ripe, quite juicy, partly preserved, somewhat warm fruit, lots of Mediterranean herbal, but also peppery and juniper spice, toasty and smoky wood notes, a little clove, youthful, yet ripe and crumbly tannin, persistent on the palate, lots of power, warming alcohol, very good, quite firm, juicy, spicy and a little sooty finish.
