Relatively firm, nutty and restrained vegetable nose reminiscent of partly canned, ripe dark berries and a bit of cherries with a hint of meat juice, healing herbs and a touch of cigar ash. Bitter, slightly warm fruit with nutty, somewhat walnut-like wood notes, also some cinnamon and baking cocoa, sandy, slightly drying tannin, in the background beef, root vegetables and a hint of tomato paste, certain sustainability, salty tones, noticeable alcohol warmth, very good finish with plenty of ripe dark juice and slightly sooty-bitter hints.

Best to drink: Mitte 2025 bis 2030+. What our ratings mean
