2022 Donauriesling trocken, Austria

Slightly smoky, bacony nose, light vegetal and herbaceous notes, hint of cabbage, citrus and pomaceous fruit. Polished, still slightly muted, yet quite firm, bright fruit with delicate sweetish melting, lively, almost present acidity, has some grip, good persistence, light wood tones in the background, chalky minerality, hints of red berries and fine root vegetables, very good, still a little drying finish with bite.

Best to drink: Ende 2024 bis 2028+. What our ratings mean
