Quite firm, slightly roasted, somewhat nutty and herbal to dried-herb-like nose of ripe black berries with a hint of leather, ash, and dried flowers. Astringent, quite firm fruit with slightly nutty and smoky wood aromas, some underbrush and cocoa, crumbly-sandy tannin, dense and persistent, some depth, in the background wax, black olives, grilled red pepper, and a bit of juniper, has power but also cool herbal notes, earthy minerality, very good finish with noticeable alcohol warmth.
