2021 Deutschkreutz Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Tart, somewhat undergrowth, vegetal and peppery aroma of partly preserved dark berries with a hint of marzipan, beef and nutmeg. Ripe, quite firm fruit with nutty and roasted wood flavours, a hint of mint and blackberries, present, crumbly, still a little drying tannin, good persistence, certain depth, dark minerality, Havana tobacco, coffee grounds and lavender in the background, good to very good finish with grip.
