2018 Deutschkreutz Blaufränkisch trocken, Burgenland, Austria

Somewhat toasty and slightly tobacco aroma of ripe black berries and a little cherry with dried herb notes, nutty wood aromas and dried flowers. Ripe, tightly knit, partly preserved black fruit with lots of toasty, cocoa and coffee spicy wood, cola nut, some liquorice and soot, crumbly sandy tannin, dried herbs and a little juniper in the background, good to very good finish with some warmth, dark juice, oniony tones and again lots of wood.
