Firm, quite deep, tobacco and wood spice aroma of ripe blackberries and cherries with toasty hints and pepper. Firmly woven, ripe black fruit with bacony and smoky flavours, present, ripe, fine tannin, peppery spice, integrated wood, quite distinct minerality on the palate, has power and some depth, persistent, concentrated and relatively complex, a little soot in the background, nutty and dried herbal flavours, a little coffee, very good, firm, juicy and spicy finish.

Best to drink: 2023-2028+. What our ratings mean
