2013 Ried Hochberg trocken In Signo Sagittarii, Burgenland, Austria

Spicy oak and light earthy notes on the nose, ripe, partly preserved cherries and dark berries, nutty notes, hint of tar, some dried vegetal notes. Tart and firm dark fruit on the palate, prominent, slightly sooty oak, fine, sandy, youthful tannins, hint of smoked bacon, persistent, firm grip and light bite, earthy and salty mineral notes, some depth, hint of tobacco, quite complex, still largely undeveloped, firm bite, tart again on a very good finish.
