2002 Mittelburgenland Ried Hochberg trocken In Signo Sagittarii (Patrick Bayer), Burgenland, Austria

Sour cherries and preserved red berries on the nose, plums, cedar wood and dried herbs, mineral notes and light smoky notes. Very juicy on the palate, loads of very ripe fruit, sweetish roasted aromas, some more herbs and almost salty mineral notes, elegant acid bite, very creamy, full-bodied and deep, very persistent, good structure, harmonious, although all the oak really would not be necessary, long finish. In excellent condition, much better than the first tasting sample.

Best to drink: Bis 2010+. What our ratings mean
