2001 Mittelburgenland trocken In Signo Tauri, Burgenland, Austria

Ripe, partly dried and partlypreserved red berries and plums on the nose, mineral notes, spicy roasted notes. Prominent oak on the palate, roasted and smoky notes, light sweaty motes, some more partly dried red fruit, fairly prominent fine and slightly astringent tannins, mineral traces, noticeable alcohol, mature, not particularly deep any more, noticeable alcohol and oak on an otherwise attractive finish.

Editor note: Partly dried red berries on the nose, smoky and roasted as well as some mienral notes. More roasted oak and mineral notes on the palate, partly dried red fruit, fine, sandy, slightly astringent tannins, medium body, shows some maturity, herbaceous notes, quite good presence, again slightly oaky and astringent on the finish, but has some length.
