2000 Blaufränkisch trocken "Selection", Burgenland, Austria

Clearly matured, somewhat cedary and tobacco aroma of predominantly black berries, a little dried-vegetable notes, mushrooms and a touch of tar. Tart, developed dark fruit, slightly smoky notes and some coffee, ethereal-herbal aromas reminiscent of eucalyptus, persistent, fine sandy, ripe tannin, a little liquorice, noticeable acid bite, coffee-roasted nuances, salt in the background, good persistence, has power, very good, firm, tart-juicy, again also ethereal finish.
