2021 Südsteiermark DAC Ried Höllriegl Sauvignon Blanc trocken "Am alten Pfarrweingarten", Styria/Steiermark, Austria

Fairly cool, firm, somewhat vegetal to ethereal-herbal, nutty and a little smoky-spicy nose with citrus and pomaceous fruit notes and a hint of dark berries. Polished, juicy, slightly sweetish fruit with delicately creamy, a hint of wild berries, peach and meadow flowers, fine acidity, has grip and persistence, clear, chalky minerality, cashew nuts, red and white currants, persistent, has power, but also finesse, shows in its restrained manner only after days what it can really do, very good, juicy, finely spicy, again a hint of sweet finish.
